Obama Snubs Berlin Wall Ceremonies

President Barack Obama's decision to spurn German President Angela Merkel's invitation to attend ceremonies commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall 20 years ago is "the most telling nonevent of his presidency."

That's the view of National Review Editor Rich Lowry, who notes that Obama has visited more foreign countries than any other president during his first year in office, yet has begged off going to Berlin to celebrate the Nov. 9 anniversary because of a crowded schedule.

"It's hard to imagine any other American president eschewing the occasion," Lowry writes.

"Wouldn't Obama at least want to take the occasion to celebrate freedom and human rights — those most cherished liberal values? Not necessarily. He has mostly jettisoned them as foreign-policy goals in favor of a misbegotten realism that soft-pedals the crimes of nasty regimes around the world.

"During the Cold War, we undermined our enemies by shining a bright light on their repression," Lowry writes. "In Berlin, JFK called out the Communists on their 'offense against humanity.' Obama would utter such a phrase only with the greatest trepidation, lest it undermine a future opportunity for dialogue."

The Berlin Wall came down because the free world, led by America, stood resolute against communist tyranny. But for Obama, "we are less an exceptional power than one among many, seeking deals with our peers in Beijing and Moscow," Lowry observes.

"Why would Obama want to celebrate the refuseniks of the Eastern Bloc when he won't even meet with the Dalai Lama in advance of his trip to China?"

Conservative columnist and radio host Andrea Shea King had her Radio Patriot site at Google's Blogspot taken offline last night by Google.

King had maintained the Radio Patriot at Blogspot for over three years. The site was taken down without warning and without explanation. King's efforts to contact Google have been for nought so far. Attempts to bring up the site get this message:

Blog has been removed

Sorry, the blog at radiopatriot.blogspot.com has been removed. This address is not available for new blogs.

King is a vocal opponent of Barack Obama. She has posted many entries criticizing his presidency and reporting on the controversy surrounding his eligibility to serve as president and his ability to speak without a TelePrompter. Given Google's close relationship with Obama, perhaps it is good business for them to shut down his critics.

King is a fixture in Central Florida and the Space Coast. She has been a columnist for the local paper, a news anchor on a network affiliate, a broadcast radio host and now Internet radio host. She currently writes a weekly column for World Net Daily and is a contributor to Big Hollywood and its sister site, Big Government.

The shutdown of her blog comes just days after she co-authored a blockbuster (with yours truly) article for Big Government on Obama's political relationship with terrorist supporter Jodie Evans of Code Pink.

King has a contingency blog at Word Press:

RadioPatriot.wordpress.com

You can also find her on Twitter.

And here at Free Republic. She's been a great friend to FR over the years.

Her Blogtalk show can be found here live most nights at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Another from the mouths of babes.........way to go Johnny

Another from the mouths of babes.........way to go Johnny!

A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans.

Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the

teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny.

The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different.

Little Johnny said, 'Because I'm not an Obama fan!'

The teacher asked, 'Why aren't you an Obama fan?'

Johnny said, 'Because I'm a Republican!'

The teacher asked him why he's a Republican, and Little Johnny answered, 'Well, my Mom's a Republican and my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican!'

Annoyed by this answer, and siezing the opportunity to tech him and the class a valuable lesson the teacher asked, 'Well then, if your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?'

With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, "Now that would make me an Obama fan.''

Letter from Newt Gingrich

September 30, 2009
Vol. 4, No. 39

Dishonesty, Intimidation, Hypocrisy and Medicare Advantage

by Newt Gingrich

The editorial writers at the New York Times thought they were getting the White House's back when they defended cuts to Medicare Advantage last week. In fact, they were validating the blatant dishonesty of administration and congressional officials pushing for the cuts. In their editorial last Sunday, the Times writers revealed in stunning fashion the lies that have been used to convince increasingly skeptical seniors that their Medicare Advantage benefits won't be sacrificed to pay for government-run health care.

Should Obama Pay Back Big Labor?

Union Bosses spent $1 billion electing Obama and the Democrats and now they're demanding payback. They intend to:

End the secret ballot vote for workers on unionization;

Force millions of new workers to pay dues or be fired;

Pack federal agencies and courts with union stooges.

Congressman Steve King (R-IA) NEEDS YOUR HELP by telling President Obama that he has NO MANDATE to expand forced unionism:

SIGN Your Petition TODAY!

Dishonesty: Cuts Won't Affect Medicare Advantage Participants

In one breath, the Times claimed the effect of Medicare Advantage cuts will be "modest":

"Although Republican rhetoric has triggered fears that Medicare Advantage enrollees might lose their coverage entirely if private plans drop out of the system, the real effect of the bill would likely be modest on average."

Then, literally on the next line, the Times contradicts itself, and stumbles inadvertently on to the truth:

"The value of an enrollee's added benefits would shrink by more than half from current levels but would not disappear; they would still be worth about $500 a year in 2019 (emphasis added)."

Intimidation: Free Speech Rights of Insurance Companies Denied

Medicare Advantage was created to do what the Center for Health Transformation (CHT) has long fought for: To give all seniors more private choices of higher quality health care. It currently provides almost 11 million Americans coverage through private insurance plans. Recent data shows that these seniors have better health outcomes than those in traditional Medicare.

Current legislation in Washington will gut the program. H.R. 3200 in the House will cut Medicare Advantage by $172 billion. The bill sponsored by Sen. Max Baucus in the Senate will cut the popular program by $123 billion.

If you're just hearing about this now, here's the reason: When Humana (with whom we've worked with in the past at CHT) tried to inform its Medicare Advantage members that Democratic health care reform could lower their benefits, the government ordered them to cease and desist and opened an investigation of the company.

Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) subsequently introduced legislation in the Senate Finance Committee to protect the 1st Amendment rights of private insurance companies to criticize health care reform proposals.

Democrats on the committee unanimously defeated the bill.

Hypocrisy: The AARP Sells Out Seniors

OUTRAGE!!

Billion-dollar drug company hides astounding discovery of a natural cancer killer. 10,000 times stronger than chemo—but without the side effects!

One pharmaceutical company actually made the ‘discovery of the century’ – a miracle breakthrough that could save you or someone you love from the ravages of cancer. But…

They hid the secret for SEVEN FULL YEARS…with no plans to tell anyone about it ever!

Click here to read the full story of this astounding breakthrough—and the dozens of other underground cures not yet available to mainstream medicine…

But while Humana was censored by the government from talking to its Medicare Advantage enrollees about proposed Democratic cuts, another Medicare Advantage provider - the AARP - has been left free to lobby its members.

Of course the Washington leadership of the AARP is working closely with Democrats on health care reform. Incredibly, the self-appointed voice of America's seniors supports "reforms" that will cut the benefits - if not the entire Medicare Advantage coverage - of millions of seniors.

How can this be? It's simple. The AARP is a liberal interest group like any other, and it cut a deal with the party in charge in Washington. In exchange for selling out the seniors it claims to represent, the AARP will get potentially millions in lucrative insurance contracts, and quite possibly something more.

Tell Your Friends We're Not Going to Take It Anymore

No plan that has to be advanced through dishonesty, intimidation and hypocrisy has the support of the American people.

But all that is required for these tactics to prevail in Washington is for good people to sit back and do nothing.

As debate in Congress continues, here's what you can do: Send this newsletter to a friend, a co-worker, or a relative who isn't yet aware of what Washington is doing.

Send this newsletter to your senators and representatives. Let them know that, despite the dishonesty, the intimidation and the hypocrisy, we know what they're doing.

And we're not going to take it anymore.

Bill Cosby What he thinks about the Bailout

This is actually word for word what he said to a gathering of students who asked about the bailout in America

Great response... 'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.' I can't even talk the way these people talk: Why you ain't,? Where you is,? What he drive,? Where he stay,? Where he work,? Who you be....? And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what?? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2 Where were you when he was 12? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol? And where is the father? Or who is his father? People putting their clothes on backward:? Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something??? Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa . I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid. I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany, Scotland, England, Ireland, or the Netherlands?. The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! ! With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap ..... and all of them are in jail. Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now. We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us. We have to start holding each other to a higher standard. We cannot blame the white people any longer.' Electric Energy                                         347.98
This is the charge for the electricity you use. Residential  electric rates are tiered so your energy usage is reflected  within the established tiers

DWR Bond Charge                                 16.00
The charge covers the repayment of bonds issued by the Department of Water Resources (DWR) to cover DWR’s cost in purchasing energy for California.

Transmission                                            38.62
This is the cost for delivering highvoltage electricity from power plants to local distribution wires. It includes the cost of high-voltage power lines and towers, as well as monitoring and control equipment.

Distribution                                              252.74
This is the charge for delivering electricity to your residence or place of business. This cost includes wires and poles, repair crews and emergency services. In all cases, SDG&E is responsible for the distribution of your electricity.

Public Purpose Programs                         316.18
This charge recovers the costs of various state-mandated programs (such as low-income and energy efficiency) and includes the costs of providing discounted rates for residential usage up to 130% of the baseline allowance. The costs associated with providing discounted rates for usage up to 130% of baseline are recovered through higher rates paid by residential customers who use in excess of 130% of their baseline allowance.

Nuclear Decommissioning                        1.50
This charge covers the costs of closing down nuclear power plants.

Competition Transition Charge                 6.40
Through this charge, SDG&E recovers past investment in generating facilities and long-term power contracts with non-utility generators. From May 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008, a credit will appear on your bill as a result of an over-collection from the Trust Transfer Amount charge that was removed from residential bills in October 2007.

Reliability Services                                   1.68
These are costs passed on to SDG&E by the Independent System Operator (ISO) to ensure adequate power to maintain electric system reliability. This means having enough power to meet electricity demand at all times. Through the end of 2008, a credit will appear in this line item due to the decreased costs associated with the ISO.

E Mail from Newt Gingrich about Obama's Speech Sept 9 2009

September 9, 2009

Vol. 4, No. 36

Grading the Big Speech:

A 10-Point Citizens' Checklist on Health Reform

by Newt Gingrich

President Obama has had a month to listen to the American people.

For a month, angry Americans have gone to town hall meetings in large numbers to oppose more spending, more government, and more Washington centered bureaucracy.

For a month, the polls have gotten worse and worse for big spending, big deficit, high taxes, and big government.

But on Labor Day, President Obama gave us a sign he hasn't been listening. He gave a campaign-style speech in which he accused his critics of spreading "lies" and failing to offer their own solutions for health care reform.

Tonight President Obama has another opportunity to show us if he's willing to listen to us, or to his party's leftwing.

Below is a ten-point checklist you can use to judge for yourself.

Facing a Far Left Revolt, the President Has a Choice to Make

In his speech to Congress this evening, President Obama has a choice to make.

SIGN THE PETITION TO STOP OBAMACARE!

The Radical Left Will Not Stop Until They Succeed in Socializing Medicine.

SIGN NOW Before it is TOO LATE!

He has to choose between listening to what the American people are telling him, and what the Left is telling him.

A recent Gallup poll revealed that only 13% of the American people want permanently expanded government.

In sharp contrast, the liberal base of the President's party views government run health care as nonnegotiable.

The Left is already threatening primary opposition to President Obama if he doesn't stick with them and seek to impose radical change on the American people.

As MSNBC's Keith Olbermann said last week "If it's necessary to find somebody else to run against him, I think liberals would do it, no matter how destructive that may seem".

Despite the Hard Line of the Left,

Health Care Reform Is Still Possible

Despite the intransigence on the Left, bipartisan health reform supported by a huge majority of Americans is still possible.

The question is whether the President can reach out to the majority of us.

So to understand the President's speech tonight – his most important speech since his Inaugural address – do these three things:

Forget the details

Forget the rhetoric.

And ask yourself this:

Is this a speech designed to bring together Americans to pass bipartisan health reform?

Or is this a speech designed to appease the Left?

Here's a ten-point checklist to help you decide for yourself. Print it out and use it to judge the President's speech tonight.

In his proposals for reform, does the President include litigation reform, which 84% of Americans believe will help reduce costs and which is the number one goal of doctors in any health reform?

Does he include a section onsaving money by stopping payments to crooks who are bilking the taxpayers for $70-120 billion each year in Medicare and Medicaid fraud? For 88 percent of Americans, this is the first place they would look to find savings in our health care system. Is President Obama willing to look there?

Does his speech reject higher taxes, which the vast majority of Americans believe will make the current economy even worse and increase unemployment even more?

Does it reject all government rationing of health services which the American people have vocally opposed at town hall meetings across the country?

Does it reject any government run, bureaucratic health plan?

Is President Obama open to four or five bipartisan bills which could pass with big bipartisan majorities? Or does he insist on a single omnibus bill of 1000-plus pages like the one that failed when Mrs. Clinton tried to pass it in 1993-1994?

Is he for sustaining the Senate rule of 60 votes to ensure a bill that has wide, bipartisan support? Or is he prepared to destroy long-standing Senate tradition and ram through a radical bill with 51 votes?

Does President Obama give any indication he is forincreasing the power, information and choice of the individual and their doctor or is he giving more power to the government?

Does he focus on health, wellness, prevention, early detection and health management to avoid or control the severity of chronic diseases? Or does he spend his time talking only about acute care?

Does his plan invest in science and technology in order to increase innovation and accelerate the discovery and adoption of new discoveries and breakthroughs in diseases such as Alzheimer's, cancer and diabetes?

The Coming Revolution

I have been watching and listening to current events as they develop and I believe that without a doubt the general American population is fed up with the current Gov't. They believe they are being lied to, that there money is being appropriated though taxation for purposes that are basically unconstitutional. That the current set of Congress and others in Washington put their own interest above those of their constituents. They use Pork Barrel amendments to spend money, unwisely and sometime to their own benefit. They arrogantly believe they know better than the people what is good for them. The people are tired of being lied to and cheated out of their hard earned savings. Tonight I proudly saw people old and young talking about their willingness and desire to put their country back on track. Watch out Washington. The people are pissed off and they are about to take this country back by any means available to them. If they cannot talk you into restoring the country, back to the way it should be. Repealing the unnecessary and sometime stupid laws that have been passed. Reforming the Tax system. So they are able to keep more of their money. Fixing the Medical system, NOT REPLACINGS IT, but fixing what is wrong with the current one. Lowering education costs so that everyone can again afford go to college without having been born with a silver spoon in their mouths or by putting themselves so far in debt that it may take forever to pay off their loans. Once again encourage small businesses and capitalism in general. If you don't listen then you can look forward to being voted out of office when your term is up and they will find someone willing to serve the will of the people. You really don’t want to find out what the American people will do when you finally piss them off so much that they just can’t take it anymore. In our history we have already had one revolution specifically about excessive taxation. We certainly don’t want to see another

Is the National Endowwment of the Art organizing to support Obama

I have been hearing for the last few days about how the NEA has been trying to recruit the arts community to support Obama and encouraging those it speaks to to recruit others. Now they sya that they did not send out the invitation for the Telecom conference call, that it was the "The Corporation for National and Community Service" Now I would like to know who and or what is the "The Corporation for National and Community Service" as I don't think I have ever heard of it before. Here are some links that will get more of this story for you. You decide for yourselve wheter it is right for the NEA to be involved in politics.

Bill would give president emergency control of Internet

Quoted from CNET News

Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.

They're not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773 (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency.

The new version would allow the president to "declare a cybersecurity emergency" relating to "non-governmental" computer networks and do what's necessary to respond to the threat. Other sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for "cybersecurity professionals," and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license.
"I think the redraft, while improved, remains troubling due to its vagueness," said Larry Clinton, president of the Internet Security Alliance, which counts representatives of Verizon, Verisign, Nortel, and Carnegie Mellon University on its board. "It is unclear what authority Sen. Rockefeller thinks is necessary over the private sector. Unless this is clarified, we cannot properly analyze, let alone support the bill."

Representatives of other large Internet and telecommunications companies expressed concerns about the bill in a teleconference with Rockefeller's aides this week, but were not immediately available for interviews on Thursday.
A spokesman for Rockefeller also declined to comment on the record Thursday, saying that many people were unavailable because of the summer recess. A Senate source familiar with the bill compared the president's power to take control of portions of the Internet to what President Bush did when grounding all aircraft on Sept. 11, 2001. The source said that one primary concern was the electrical grid, and what would happen if it were attacked from a broadband connection.

When Rockefeller, the chairman of the Senate Commerce committee, and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) introduced the original bill in April, they claimed it was vital to protect national cybersecurity. "We must protect our critical infrastructure at all costs--from our water to our electricity, to banking, traffic lights and electronic health records," Rockefeller said.

The Rockefeller proposal plays out against a broader concern in Washington, D.C., about the government's role in cybersecurity. In May, President Obama acknowledged that the government is "not as prepared" as it should be to respond to disruptions and announced that a new cybersecurity coordinator position would be created inside the White House staff. Three months later, that post remains empty, one top cybersecurity aide has quit, and some wags have begun to wonder why a government that receives failing marks on cybersecurity should be trusted to instruct the private sector what to do.

Rockefeller's revised legislation seeks to reshuffle the way the federal government addresses the topic. It requires a "cybersecurity workforce plan" from every federal agency, a "dashboard" pilot project, measurements of hiring effectiveness, and the implementation of a "comprehensive national cybersecurity strategy" in six months--even though its mandatory legal review will take a year to complete.

The privacy implications of sweeping changes implemented before the legal review is finished worry Lee Tien, a senior staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco. "As soon as you're saying that the federal government is going to be exercising this kind of power over private networks, it's going to be a really big issue," he says.

Probably the most controversial language begins in Section 201, which permits the president to "direct the national response to the cyber threat" if necessary for "the national defense and security." The White House is supposed to engage in "periodic mapping" of private networks deemed to be critical, and those companies "shall share" requested information with the federal government. ("Cyber" is defined as anything having to do with the Internet, telecommunications, computers, or computer networks.)

"The language has changed but it doesn't contain any real additional limits," EFF's Tien says. "It simply switches the more direct and obvious language they had originally to the more ambiguous (version)...The designation of what is a critical infrastructure system or network as far as I can tell has no specific process. There's no provision for any administrative process or review. That's where the problems seem to start. And then you have the amorphous powers that go along with it."

Translation: If your company is deemed "critical," a new set of regulations kick in involving who you can hire, what information you must disclose, and when the government would exercise control over your computers or network.

The Internet Security Alliance's Clinton adds that his group is "supportive of increased federal involvement to enhance cyber security, but we believe that the wrong approach, as embodied in this bill as introduced, will be counterproductive both from an national economic and national secuity perspective."

people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh

water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for

use

in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We

have eleven such ships; how many does France have?'

A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that

included Admirals from the U.S. , English, Canadian, Australian and French

Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large

group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries.

Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a

French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages,

Americans learn only English. He then asked, 'Why is it that we always have

to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?'

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, 'Maybe

it's because the Brit's, Canadians, Aussie's and Americans arranged it so

you wouldn't have to speak German.'

AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...

Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in

Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his

passport in his carry on."You have been to France before, monsieur?" the

customs

officer asked sarcastically. Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France

previously. "Then you should know enough to have your passport ready."

The American said, 'The last time I was here, I didn't have

to show it." "Impossible. Americans always have to show

your passports on arrival in France !"

The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard

look. Then he quietly explained, ''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach

on

D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single

Frenchmen to show a passport to."

Wake up and Smell the Roses

When will you wake up and see what's going on in this country. Is it true that the FCC Advisor for Pres. Obama wants to tax privately held readio stations 100 % of their operating costs (effectively putting them out of business) to support public broadcasting. Well that is what I have heard. What this will do is succeed in eliminating all privately help radio stations leaving only Public stations Thus leaving 100 % of the news in the control of the Gov't. Does that scare you yet. They also want to censor all communications and commercials before they air. No one will be able to speak their minds, if they are not pro government.Well I think you had better wake up and take a look around and see what it is that the government is up to . We are still a republic of free people, but if things keep going the way that they are we will soon be a completely Socialist Country  with little or no freedoms. I for one will not take that laying down. Look at what's going on with the CIA. Look at what's going on the Universal Healthcare. How many bills have our congressmen and Senators voted on and passed without even reading them. I for one don't know, but if current history (The Bailout, Cap and Trade, The Universal Health Care) (almost made it))  the list goes on and on. If this is any indication, it may have been happening for a very long time. Are you ready to give up your freedoms? Do you still want to hear differing opinions and be able to make up your own minds as to what's best for you and this country. Then WAKE UP. Start raising hell. Tell you congressmen and representatives that you want our country back and to knock this bull off.. Tell them to get back to OUR business and not what they think is best for us.

Democratic Majority

Will the Govornor of Mass. Grant Ted Kennedy's wish and put saside the 5 month moretoreum on a replacement for him and appoint a new Senator in his place immediatley?

My thought on Terrorism

I received this email and thought it matched my feeling almost exactly. So I thought I'd share it with you
"
This was written by a Canadian woman, but oh how it also applies to the
U.S., U..K.. and Australia

Written by a housewife in New Brunswick , to her local newspaper. This is one ticked off lady.

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since?

Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from the nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a brutal insurgency.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan .

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques and behind women and children.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of
nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the Canadian media stops pretending that their freedom of speech on stories is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting at home to hear about them when something happens.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a CANADIAN soldier roughing up an Insurgent terrorist to obtain information, know this:

I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank:

I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and 'fed special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts:

I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn you guessed it,

I don't care!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:

'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world.. But, the Soldiers don't have that problem.'

I have another quote that I would like to add, AND.......I hope you forward all this.

One last thought for the day:

Only five defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1 Jesus Christ

2 The British Soldier.

3 The Canadian Soldier.

4. The US Soldier, and

5 The Australian Soldier

One died for your soul, the other 4 for your freedom."
